Asian College of Teachers (ACT), the pioneer in teacher education in Asia in collaboration with Microsoft, introduces Microsoft Certified Educator program, a professional development program that aims to connect the gap between technology skills and innovative teaching among the 21 st century teaching fraternity.
Since the main aim of Microsoft is ‘transforming education by focusing on 21st century skills’, the program on 21CLD has been created to reach and engage as many teachers as possible in this training.
Microsoft Certified Educator program is meant for educators who are looking to develop the skills required to provide rich, customized learning experiences to their students by means of integrating essential 21st century learning skills with the help of Microsoft tools. By collaborating with Microsoft, ACT aims to help the aspirants enrol for this program, acquire new knowledge and help them flourish in their specific area of teaching.For appearing successfully in the exam that comes in the end, you will want to master the 21st Century Learning Design curriculum and possess a thorough understanding of a variety of Microsoft tools.21st Century Learning Design or 21CLD helps teachers reconstruct their lessons and learning activities to develop their students’ 21st century skills.
There are 8 courses in total with approximately 20 hours of online tutorials, video, readings, educator-discussion and self-assessment. Educators are provided with the opportunity to actively engage with classroom evidence of 21CLD in action in classrooms across the globe.
Based on rubrics which have been developed and tested internationally for the Innovative Teaching and Learning (ITL) Research project, the 21CLD curriculum aims to equip the educators with the modern teaching methods. With the help of these rubrics, educators will be able to identify and understand the opportunities that learning activities give students to build 21st century skills and incorporate these learning activities to ensure you are embedding 21st century skills in your teaching practices.
Any teaching aspirant/professional can prepare, take a pre-test and finally the test at 5000 INR / 75 USD which also includes the Preparatory Materials.
ACT Alumni can avail the same at 3500 INR / 50 USD and become Microsoft Certified Educators.

The 21st Century Learning Design provides teachers with clear and practical ways to develop 21st skills and abilities with the help of digital technologies for their students. With the help of a collection of Office Mix Lessons, this collection builds on the research methodology providing a collaborative, practice-based process to help educators transform how they design enriching learning activities for their students - to become more innovative with cloud-based tools with regards to their teaching approaches, regardless of the device they use. Educators will also learn how to use basic features of Office 365 including Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Sway, Microsoft Forms, Office Online and One Drive.
